As ACLTA embarks on an exciting period of growth and change, including strengthening our governance and developing a national strategic direction we invite you to be part of our Strategic Planning Day.
The day will be structured to balance expert information sharing, collaborative input and focused planning, leading to practical outcomes.
We are delighted to welcome Catharine Hydon as facilitator for this important planning day, where she will guide attendees through meaningful discussions that will shape the future of Child Life Therapy in Australia. We are also honoured to be joined by Stephanie Hopkinson MA, CCLS, who will be joining us from the USA to provide an international perspective and establish the foundation for the day’s strategic conversations.
2026 ACLTA Strategic Planning Day
Unable to attend in person - Joining us online?
You are warmly invited to join the opening keynote session online, by Stephanie Hopkinson, CCLS (USA), who will share insights from her extensive experience with the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP) and explore how these learnings may help inform the future of Child Life Therapy in Australia. Her presentation will provide the foundation for the conversations and planning throughout the day.
Please note that online attendance will be limited to the opening keynote session only. The remainder of the Strategic Planning Day will be conducted as an in-person workshop. These sessions have been intentionally designed to support meaningful discussion, active participation and collaborative decision-making, and therefore will not be available to join online.
We recognise that not all members will be able to attend in person, and we genuinely value your perspectives and contribution. There will be opportunities for members to contribute to the strategic planning process both before and after the day as we continue to develop and implement the priorities and outcomes identified during the workshop.
